Caustic free scouring process |
Cotton is known for his softness and wear comfort. Cotton cellulose contains natural impurities like pectin, protein wax, oil and man-made impurities. This impurity makes the cotton hydrophobic in nature. To prepared the cotton cellulose for further wet process like dyeing finishing, impurities are must remove. Traditionally these impurities are removed by harsh treatment of scouring with caustic soda and emulsifier, which removes the impurities with degradation in strength of cellulose and over all values of cotton. This harsh process leads to a harshness in cotton and it will be covered by adding more softener which is few wash stable.
Bilanzscour is solution over this traditional process. |
|
Bilanzscour only attack on pectin present in primary and secondary wall of the cellulose, and wax which is bonded to pectin also get removed along with pectin. This soft process or mild alkaline process retains the all-cotton values with left well-prepared cotton for next subsequent wet processes. |
|
Values added by Bilanzscour are as follows, |
• |
Natural softness of cotton becomes intact which is more wash durable. |
• |
Strength of the cotton is more as compared to conventional one. |
• |
Lowering the effluent load by reduction in TDS, COD and BOD values. |
• |
Process is mild alkaline with minimum weight loss. |
• |
Eco-friendly and biodegradable product. |
• |
Saving the water time and energy and increasing productivity. |
